We, the residents and lovers of our ‘Garden city’ Bengaluru should take a pledge on the eve of beginning of yet another year 2015 to keep our City ‘Clean and Green’ - Namma Bengaluru Swachcha Bengaluru.
There is an imperative need for one and all to join hands together, to make this ‘Mission possible’. Of course, we have already begun to keep the City, free from the dread article ‘plastic’, yet there is a long way to ‘maintain’ it continuously. Added to this, the piling up of ‘garbage’ is the growing menace, which we are constrained to face and keep it away.
In order to ensure that our City is ‘Clean and Green’, every one of us has to take a ‘Pledge’ that, we shall involve voluntarily in this mission of keeping our premises, street, locality and the ward ‘neat, clean and green’ and inculcate this good habit among the other inhabitants too.
To take a cue from United Kingdom, where the Citizens voluntarily keep the surrounding place of their house ‘neat and clean’ and do not allow levy of penalty by the Authorities for causing shabby, we too can voluntarily follow the same and contribute our might to keep the vicinity of our house ‘neat and clean’. Further, let our Corporate giants adopt location-wise areas in the City and take responsibility for up-keeping the ‘cleanliness’ and maintain ‘swachatha’ in the city, and disseminate the necessity of maintaining swatchatha to the residents.
It goes without saying that, this ‘mission’ is not a ‘one man’s job’. Every resident citizen of Bengaluru should ‘feel the responsibility’ and contribute their ‘might’ for achievement and ensure continuous maintenance. Only by doing so, it is not impossible to achieve the ‘mission’ of keeping namma Bengaluru a Swachcha Bengaluru.
